On a warm May afternoon, 317 students of the International Master in Business (IMB), Class of 2025 celebrated their convocation at NCPA’s Tata Theatre. The ceremony was a proud culmination of two transformative years filled with growth, grit and togetherness.
The 12th convocation of our post graduate program was marked by thought-provoking addresses from Prof. Maurizio Poli, Academic Director of the International Master in Business, Mr. Alessandro Giuliani, Managing Director of SDA Bocconi Asia Center, and Chief Guest Mr. Amitabh Kant, G20 Sherpa and Former CEO of NITI Aayog. Professor Poli urged students to actively shape their futures: “In the end, we have to create our own opportunities. Create opportunities with curiosity and courage. Curiosity to explore new ideas and new changes in your life; and courage to actually get the opportunity and go through them with your head held high.”
As Mr. Giuliani reminded the cohort, “Real success isn’t just built in lecture halls or labs. It’s built in everyday life—through discipline, through sacrifice, through the moments when no one is watching, and you still choose to rise.”
Student speakers Sannia Sajive and Krishna Govindarajan delivered a heartfelt tribute to their batch, capturing the highs and hurdles of the past two years. “Today, as we step into the professional world with confidence,” they shared, “we do so knowing that this program has equipped us with the tools, the mindset, and the resilience to thrive.”
Diplomas were conferred by the aforementioned faculty and dignitaries and by Prof. Anjana Grewal, Senior Professor and Senior Director, Centers of Excellence, Prof. Seema Khanvilkar, Deputy Director IMB and Professor of Business Communication, and Prof. Shibani Belwalkar, Program Director – IEMB and Professor of Human Resource Management. The event concluded with awards and recognitions, including a special congratulations to Gold Medalist Anishaa Gupta for her exceptional academic performance.
A new chapter now begins — with bold dreams and a Bocconi spirit that endures.
